CC-10000 is a fantastic charge controller, simple, reliable and inexpensive. Unlike most of its competitors in the same price range, this is a two-step controller. Will float on 13 7V but will increase up to 14 5V for a maximum of two hours when the battery is immersed in 12 5V. SunSaver (Morningstar simply to maintain the constant voltage (14 1V to sealed/14. 4V batteries flooded) – too high for the float, but not enough for the absorption). It is obvious that this is a PWM design, performance and long battery life.

My only complaint about it: it is not temperature compensated (which I just confirmed with the manufacturer). This should be OK if used only at home (as the manual recommends unconspicuously), or in the mild climate. If on the other hand, is used, for example, in sub-freezing temperatures, will be under-charge the battery at half volts or more. So if you absolutely must have temperature compensation, check out CC-25000 (twice the price) or consider another brand.

    Good charge controller small.

operational for a couple of weeks now.

He would have given five stars if the manual
was more clear, accurate and complete.

Does a great job keeping my lead AGM battery charge without risking damage to it.

I used this controller once, it worked. The second time is not, has not come on. I went camping and my battery went dead. All connections are tight and conected properly. Help, is there anything I can do to make it work. Email me at [. . . ] If you have an answer I Sunsea 22 watt solar panel. Thanks, Jim

Poor mechanical design. Screw on wire connectors are weak and sloppy, making it impossible to get reliable connections (I had to solder directly to them). After about 2 months, I noticed the charger had failed, and my 12V marine battery was discharged at 10 5V.
